Spatial Consultants Present Lecture at the University of Cumbria

20th November 2007

Graham Morgan presented a lecture to GIS students at the newly established University of Cumbria in Carlisle. The presentation provided the students with a practitioner’s view on the roles and relevance of GIS in modern IT architectures and presented real examples from implementations in Australia, Canada, the US and the UK. Graham commented “The University program offers local students with the opportunity to study exciting subjects like Geographical Information Science on the edge of the Lake District; we are delighted to be involved with the University and look forward to working with graduates in the near future.”

The University of Cumbria offers a very high quality learning experience in a supportive environment which enables students to achieve their personal and professional potential wherever they study. It is committed to learning which is innovative, flexible and student centred and which utilises the latest technology. Online at http://www.cumbria.ac.uk
